On 29th January, 2013, the Estates and Works Department inspected ongoing works to check on the progress of places of convenience in the university. The inspection covered works in the departments of Physics, Agriculture, Arts, Social Sciences and Performing Arts and Film.
The Academic Registrar of Makerere University invites applications for admission to GraduateProgrammes (Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctoral degree Programmes) for the 2013/2014 Academic Year. The Makerere University 63rd Graduation Ceremony will be held for four days, from Tuesday 22nd to Friday 25th January 2013.
The Graduands,distinguished guests and the entire congregation shall be seated by 8:30am. The Chancellor, Professor George Mondo Kagonyera will then constitute the congregation for the 63rd graduation ceremony at 9:00am.
The Schedule for the four day Ceremony will run as follows;
Makerere University’s ranking has improved from 12th in Africa in 2011 to 9th in 2012 according to the Scimago Institutions Ranking (SIR) World Report 2012 < http://scimagoir.com/ >. Makerere is the only institution in Uganda that featured in the ranking and is competing with directly-funded Institutions from South Africa, Nigeria and Tunisia.
