ANNOUNCEMENTS 

All students are reminded that registration for 2013 studies ended on 25 January 2013. Students can still use the easy online registration facility. Late registrations will only be accepted until 15 February 2013, with penalties charged from 4 February 2013. Please pay the R1 500 registration fee online or at a bank 72 hours before registering online. Classes for all students commenced on 28 January 2013.

NSFAS assistance for first time entering students in 2013
TUT's closing date for Financial Aid for prospective students, who have applied and accepted for study in 2013, ended 15 January 2013. All students (new and senior students) are urged to check their NSFAS status online at www.tut.ac.za/Students/financial/app. Ensure to bring all required documentation when returning to your local Financial Aid Offices.

Dynamic female director takes over the reins at Quality Promotion
Dr Caroline Selepe is the Directorate of Quality Promotion’s new Director. After acting in that post for several months, she has officially taken over the reins from Dr Dhaya Naidoo, who is now the Executive Director of Quality, Planning and Risk Management at TUT.
TUT appoints new Director for Corporate Affairs and Marketing
Her CV paints a clear picture of a strong woman, an expert in strategy development and communication and someone for whom quality is a top priority. This is Brenda Watson, new Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing (CAM), who took over the reins at the Directorate on 14 January.
New Director for Nelspruit Campus
Prof Rachmond Howard, newly appointed Director of the Nelspruit/Mmombela Campus, brings to the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning more than 20 years.
Young woman chosen as engineering ambassador
Maureen Ramaube (25), junior lecturer for the foundation programme at the Tshwane University of Technology’s (TUT) Department of Engineering, has been selected as TUT’s new campus ambassador for SAWomEng.
