Bioengineering Summer Internship Program (BESIP)

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) is sponsoring a Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship Program (BESIP) for undergraduate biomedical engineering students who have completed their junior year of college. This 10 week program allows rising senior biomedical engineering students to participate, under the mentorship of world class scientists, in cutting edge biomedical research projects in NIH laboratories in Bethesda, Maryland. Please note: the BESIP is a separate program from the NIH Summer Internship Program (SIP) in Biomedical Research.

NIH/NIST Joint Postdoctoral Program

The NIH/NIST Joint Postdoctoral Program is a partnership between NIST and the NIH (NIBIB) to support postdoctoral fellowships. The goal is to cultivate a scientific work force competent in both the biological and the physical sciences. Each Postdoctoral Associate will have two Advisers, one at the NIH and one at NIST, and the Associate is expected to spend time at both the NIH and the NIST laboratories during the course of the 2-year award.
