Spotlights

Student Recruitment Event at the 2012 SAF Convention

Over 500 students attended the Society of American Foresters (SAF) Convention in Spokane, Washington, on October 24-26, 2012. The Forest Service outreached and advertised eleven positions. We received over 900 applications, approximately 70 interviews were conducted, and we made eleven job offers.

Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program

The purpose of the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program is to encourage the collaborative, science-based ecosystem restoration of priority forest landscapes.

Stewardship End Result Contracting

Stewardship contracting contributes to the development of sustainable rural communities, restores and maintains healthy forest ecosystems, and provides a continuing source of local income and employment.
