Plan Now for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 18–24, 2010

The theme for the 2010 NCVRW observance—Crime Victims’ Rights: Fairness. Dignity. Respect.—focuses on victims and their families and the professionals who serve them. The Office of Justice Programs’ Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), in partnership with the National Center for Victims of Crime, has prepared the 2010 NCVRW Resource Guide, which is available free online. It contains everything needed to organize a National Crime Victims’ Rights Week event, including public awareness materials such as posters, public service announcements, and a 6-minute introductory theme DVD.

OVC also is organizing two prelude events that will take place in Washington, D.C., on April 15 and April 16, to pay tribute to crime victims and survivors and to honor individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding service for victims. Online registration for both events is required at www.ncvrw.org.
