Treasury Small Business Lending Fund. September 27, 2010. http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sb-programs/Pages/Small-Business-Lending-Fund.aspx

On September 27, 2010, President Obama signed the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 into law.  This legislation created the Small Business Lending Fund, which will make available up to $30 billion of capital to small banks with incentives to increase small business lending – and will potentially support several multiples of that amount in new credit.  This program complements the Administration’s expanded SBA lending initiatives, tax cuts for small businesses, and the new State Small Business Credit Initiative.
