Low-Power Television and Translator Upgrade Program

The Upgrade Program reimburses the eligible costs to upgrade analog low power television broadcast stations, Class A television stations, television translator stations, and television booster stations in rural communities to digital transmission.

Eligible stations must be broadcasting a licensed digital signal before applying for a grant. Applications are received the first business day of each month, and the final closing date for receipt of Upgrade Program applications will be July 2, 2012.

Low-Power Television and Translator Digital-to-Analog Conversion Program

The Conversion Program operated from October 2007 through June 2009 and provided funds to assist low-power TV broadcast stations, Class A television stations, television translator stations, and television booster stations ("low-power facilities") to broadcast in analog after the February 17, 2009 digital conversion deadline for full power television stations.
