The theme of the meeting will be "HIV and Women's Risk and Prevention: Back to Basics."
The speakers at this meeting will provide an overview of current HIV and women's basic sciences research with a focus on risk and prevention. The speakers will discuss the state of the science and outline current research gaps. The goal of the discussions will be to provide NIH OAR with recommendations to address the research gaps.
An update will be provided on the latest changes made to the federal treatment and prevention guidelines by the OARAC Working Groups responsible for the guidelines.
The meeting is open to the public unless determined otherwise by the Secretary. Notice of this meeting will appear in the Federal Register.
