Description: 2007 National Money Laundering Strategy

The Department of Treasury, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Homeland Security jointly released the "2007 National Money Laundering Strategy." Because of its length, the document is not attached to this bulletin but can be accessed through the OCC’s Web site. The strategy responds to the December 2005 "U.S. Money Laundering Threat Assessment" that outlined a full array of money laundering trends and methods. The strategy identifies areas where federal agencies will continue to enforce or expand existing anti-money laundering guidance. It also addresses emerging issues for which new guidance will be developed.
