This agreement was developed among Arlington National Cemetery, the Virginia State Historic Preservation Officer, and Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. The PA establishes procedures for landscape and monument maintenance, minor repairs to buildings, structures, and objects to be consistent with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Historic Preservation. The document will streamline compliance with National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 review, and institutes procedures for the protection of unexpected archaeological finds.
