More than 260,000 Recovery awards – contracts, grants, loans – have been issued since the stimulus program was enacted in February 2009. Some individual awards involved more than $1 billion, but the median amount for all awards is approximately $300,000. The award to Sparta Housing Authority in Tennessee was among the median awards, and here is a timeline for the project that was funded.
