Brain Coaltion

The Brain Attack Coalition (BAC) is a group of professional, voluntary and governmental entities dedicated to reducing the occurrence, disabilities and death associated with stroke. It is staffed and chaired by NINDS. The goal of the Coalition is to strengthen and promote the relationships among its member organizations in order to help stroke patients or those who are at risk for a stroke.

HEALTH PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) offers a variety of educational materials designed for health care professionals involved in treatment of acute stroke. The materials can be ordered in single copies or in quantity, and can be used in medical schools, educational settings, hospitals, clinics, and other health care facilities. The community education kit is a tool for increasing public awareness about stroke.
