SCIENTIFIC ADVANCES

Global Diagnostics Conference, August 2011

This conference brought together experts in providing medical care to countries with low resources, engineers designing low-cost and point-of-care diagnostics, academics, and government personnel with the purpose of understanding the need for such diagnostics in low- and middle-resourced countries. The conference also addressed  the challenges presented by the current prevalence and treatment of certain cancers in these countries.
