Big Red Book Welcome to ACA. Adult Children of Alcoholics is an anonymous Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition program of women and men who grew up in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes. We meet with each other in a mutually respectful, safe environment and acknowledge our common experiences. We discover how childhood affected us in the past and influences us in the present (see The Laundry List, and The Problem). We take positive action. By practicing the Twelve Steps, focusing on The Solution, and accepting a loving Higher Power of our understanding, we find freedom from the past and a way to improve our lives today.

ACA World Services is pleased to announce the publication of two new non-English workbook translations; translations are now available in Danish and Spanish. These are in addition to the recent publishing of the ACA Fellowship Text in Finnish as announced earlier. All these translations took groups of volunteers quite some time to complete. ACA WSO oversaw the verification of the translations. We are most indebted to all who made this possible, including those in the USA who also worked many hours to get the books printed. Copies of the translated fellowship text and workbooks, along with other translated literature, are available for purchase in the ACA Shopping Cart.

Meditation Book Development Project: The WSO Literature Committee has formed a Meditation Book sub-committee to renew the development of the ACA Meditation Book. For more information, go to the Meditation Book Project page.

In Memory: We are saddened to report the loss of our ACA brother, Omer G., who died on Monday, July 9, 2012. As the WSO Handbook Committee chair since 2003, Omer led the effort in the development and publishing of both the ACA Fellowship Text and Workbook. More recently, he has been coordinating the many translation efforts of these books. We at the WSO grieve the sudden loss both of this Trusted Servant and of a friend.

The new brochures, ACA Sponsorship: Fellow Traveler, Hosting an ACA Sponsorship Workshop, and 25 Questions: Am I an ACA? are now available from the WSO office. Go to the Shopping Cart to purchase copies for your ACA meeting.
