A SADD Chapter is a small group of students with an adult advisor.  Most chapters are school-based and function as school clubs, while others are based in community centers, churches, Boys & Girls Clubs, or as part of community coalitions.  In some states, SADD has a state office with a state coordinator (see below), but there are no regional or local offices or paid staff, as SADD is a grassroots organization.

Local Chapters

With nearly 10,000 chapters and the list in constant flux, we do not publicly list SADD chapters on our website.  To find a local chapter, please determine if your state has a SADD state coordinator, and if so, contact them directly – their contact information can be found above.  If you are in a state without a coordinator, please contact SADD’s Field Services Department at fieldservices@sadd.org or 1-877-SADD-INC, ext. 223 to find a local chapter.  To serve you better, we ask that you please tell us WHY you are looking for a local SADD chapter.

Please note that most chapters are school-based and function as school clubs, meaning that students from outside the school generally cannot join the chapter or participate in its activities, no more than they could join another school’s sports teams or student council.  Additionally, adult volunteers are usually limited to parents with a child in the school.  If there is not a SADD Chapter in your school, starting one is easy and free – click here to learn more. SADD is generally not a good option for students required to do community service as part of a court case.
