About Legislation and Regulations
Federal legislation and regulations are the foundation of the Data Bank. The National Practitioner Data Bank and the Health Integrity and Protection Data Bank were created under different laws and have separate governing regulations. In addition, there are other important Federal laws that play a vital role with the Data Bank.
