bullet Office of Research Integrity (ORI): Policies and Regulations - The statutes and regulations section covers the statutory authority for DHHS ORI, the handling of research misconduct allegations, debarments, the protection of whistleblowers employed by the Federal government, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests. The ORI Policies page features model policies and procedures for responding to allegations of research misconduct, a working definition of plagiarism, responses to issues arising from inquiries and investigations, guidelines for responding to retaliation complaints from complainants, and a link to the legal concerns page.

It addresses plagiarism, misuse of privileged information, data use, ownership, access, storage and retention; authorship and publication issues, conflict of interest responsibilities of investigators and funding agencies, and human and animal welfare.  Useful links are embedded in the document.

bullet Teaching Research Ethics - An annual workshop sponsored by the Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions at Indiana University.

bullet Research Responsibility Program, University of Michigan - Links to archived information on responsibility in the conduct and administration of research meant to serve as a springboard for local discussions.

bullet PEERRS/Research Responsibility Program - A web-based curriculum for faculty, staff and students that leads to certification in responsible conduct of research. Modules include core material, cases with questions and resource lists. Links to workshops, events, and archived resources and bibliography.
