California Department of Mental Health

Right Column

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) has now transitioned to become the new
Department of State Hospitals (DSH)!

The new department will focus on the care of patients in its seven forensic state hospitals. This Department of Mental Heath website will continue to remain online, and content will gradually be moved to other sites as the community mental health functions migrate to other state departments and governmental entities.

For a full listing of where the community mental health functions have been placed, see the “Reorganization of Department of Mental Health Functions“ chart on the California's Department of Mental Health Transition to the New Department of State Hospitals page.

On the left hand page navigation area, you will find the former DMH Office of Community Services contact list. We will be placing an updated phone list with the new program contacts on this banner when available.
