Additions and Enhancements

Update to 1/1/2006 - The research and data for the following APIS Policy Topics have been updated to include legislative and regulatory changes in effect on or before 1/1/2006:

• Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) Limits
  • Adult Drivers of Noncommercial Automobiles, Trucks, and Motorcycles
  • Youth Drivers (Under 21)
  • Operators of Recreational Watercraft

 Effective dates now appear in text excerpts - For the APIS Policy Topics comparison tables, the pop-ups that display legal citations and relevant text excerpts now also provide information about the date range during which each cited item was in effect.

New Explanatory Note - The following Explanatory Note was added to each APIS Policy Topic: "A comprehensive understanding of the data presented in the comparison tables for this policy topic requires examination of the jurisdiction notes and row notes that appear beneath the tables. Jurisdiction notes and row notes can also be accessed from the body of the table via links in the Jurisdiction column."

 Convenience URLs for emailing - Short, descriptive "convenience URLs " (web addresses)  are now available for each policy description page and to other selected pages (Topic  Index;  Maps and Charts; Highlight on Underage Drinking; State  Profiles; Feedback).  A link is provided at the bottom of each of these pages that pastes the "convenience URL" into an email that you can send to a friend or colleague; alternatively, you can copy and paste the link yourself.
