Benj. Franklin Federal Savings & Loan Association (Portland, Oregon) - In Receivership

The Benj. Franklin Federal Savings and Loan Association (Benj. Franklin) of Portland, Oregon was closed and the Resolution Trust Corporation was appointed as receiver on September 7, 1990. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has been serving as successor receiver (the "Receiver") for Benj. Franklin since January 1, 1996.

In August of 2006, the Receiver made a liquidating distribution to shareholders of record. The Receiver plans to issue a second and final distribution to the current shareholders of record in the second quarter of 2013. The amount and date of the distribution is undetermined at this time. Please refer back to this website for updates. No claims will be accepted at this time. Wait for complete instructions to appear on this website prior to submitting any claim(s).

In the interim since the last distribution, it is likely that addresses have changed or certificates have been sold or transferred. With that in mind, we are seeking the names and addresses for current Benj. Franklin shareholders who are in possession of the share certificate(s). If your shares are held on your behalf by a broker or other financial institution, you do not have to provide us with your address. If you do have in your personal possession a Benj. Franklin stock certificate(s), please send us the following information only if the current name and/or address are different from that shown on the certificate:

  • The name(s) as it appears on the certificate
  • The address shown on the certificate
  • The number of shares shown on the certificate
  • The certificate number
  • The CUSIP number
  • Name of the current holder, if different than that on the certificate
  • The current address, if different than that on the certificate
