National Association of School Nurses Partners with Noisy Planet

The Noisy Planet campaign is pleased to announce its partnership with the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), an organization that works to advance the specialty practice of school nursing to improve the health and academic success of all students. As a Noisy Planet partner, NASN will work to encourage awareness of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) and ways to prevent it among school nurses and the students and families they serve. As an initial activity, the Noisy Planet campaign will provide NASN with questions for their Quick Poll, located on the organization's website home page. Together, we will gain valuable feedback on school nurses and their understanding of NIHL issues and needs for materials.

NASN is a non-profit specialty nursing organization, incorporated in 1979, which represents school nurses exclusively. NASN has 16,000 members and 50 affiliates, including the District of Columbia and overseas. NASN supports school nurse objectives by publishing issue briefs and position statements on subjects affecting student health and school nursing to keep members updated on aspects affecting their school communities.
