Verify Attendance

You need to verify your attendance every month before payment is issued if you are attending an Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) or Non-College Degree (NCD) program and are receiving one of the following:

  • Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty
  • Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve
  • Reserve Educational Assistance Program - REAP
  • Veterans Retraining Assistance Program - VRAP

Verification Procedures for On-the-Job/Apprenticeship & Correspondence Trainees

Note: This applies to recipients of ALL GI Bill programs

If you are enrolled in an on-the-job or apprenticeship training program you and your employer must complete the “Monthly Certification of On-the-Job & Apprenticeship Training” form and return it to us every month.

You can either mail the completed form to the Regional Processing Office that handles your claim, or send us an electronic copy of the form by using the “Ask A Question” section of our website.

Correspondence Training


If you are enrolled in a correspondence program you and your school must complete the “Certificate of Lessons Completed” form and return it to us every quarter.
