PHMSA offers the following electronic payment (ePayment) services:

Hazmat Registration and Pipeline-related User Fees
Purchase Publications and Training Materials
Make payment(s) on Enforcement Civil ($10,000 or less) and Ticket penalties

For your convenience, PHMSA accepts any of the following major credit cards:

Master Card
Visa
American Express
Discover

PHMSA uses Pay.gov to make secure electronic payments for Hazmat and Pipeline Safety Civil Fines and Penalties, FOIA requests, and for Pipeline Safety User Fee Payment. Payments can be made directly from your bank account or by credit/debit card.

Please note that Pay.gov is external to PHMSA and may have periodic service outages that are outside of our control. In the event of a service outage, please check back often.

All ePayment transactions involving credit card related information is performed using a secured server at 128-bit encryption. Federal regulations require that your browser support 128-bit encryption to complete ePayment transactions. Minimum browser requirements are as follows (all browsers must include 128-bit encryption):
