NIH Patient Shuttle Services

NIH Shuttle infront of Clinical Center
NIH provides hotel and airport shuttle services for patients and patient visitors.

 

The Children’s Inn/Family Lodge Shuttle operates:

Monday – Friday 7:00AM to 6:00 PM
After Hours: 6:00 PM - 11:59 PM; Shuttle runs every 20 minutes. 

Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekend transportation services to and from Medical Center Metro Station

  • Saturday: Contact Admission at 301-496-3316 to request the Children’s Inn/Family Lodge Shuttle.
  • Sunday: Contact Patient Transportation Desk at 301-496-1161 
The NIH shuttle operates on the following holidays:
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • President's Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veteran's Day
    The NIH Shuttle DOES NOT operate on the following holidays:
    • Memorial Day
    • July 4th
    • Labor Day
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas
    • New Year's Day
