Solution Preparation: 500 mg/vial: When constituted with 9.3 mL of Sterile Water for Injection, USP, each milliliter of solution contains 50 mg of ethiofos and 50 mg of mannitol, USP, pH 6.0 to 8.0. Storage: Store the intact vials in the freezer (-20 to -10 °C). Stability: Shelf-life surveillance studies are continuing. Intact vials are stable for at least 2 years when stored in the freezer (-20 to -10 °C) or at refrigeration temperature (4 °C). Intact vials are less stable when stored at room temperature. When constituted as directed, the solution exhibits no decomposition for at least 8 hours at room temperature (20-25 °C). Diluted to a concentration of 10 mg/mL in 5% Dextrose Injection, USP, or 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP, ethiofos is stable for at least 24 hours at room temperature exposed to light or in the dark. CAUTION: This single-use lyophilized dosage form contains no antibacterial preservatives. Therefore, it is advised that the constituted product be discarded within 8 hours of initial entry.
