Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is at the forefront of the administration’s health IT efforts and is a resource to the entire health system to support the adoption of health information technology and the promotion of nationwide health information exchange to improve health care. ONC supports the implementation of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy by participating in a group of Federal agencies, professional organizations, and technical experts who are working to develop a scientifically sound and practical set of clinical performance measures to monitor quality of HIV care.
