FCC Reform

In order to enrich competition and protect consumers, the FCC seeks to continuously improve activities at the core of its mission. Many of these actions seek to reimagine the way that Americans interact with their government. Other reforms, such as updating databases and systems that facilitate industry interactions, make it easier for American businesses to do their work.

On November 7, 2011, the Commission released a Preliminary Plan for Retrospective Analysis of Existing Rules. The Preliminary Plan describes the Commission’s ongoing process of identifying outmoded or counterproductive rules and provides an overview of recent and current proceedings which include retrospective analysis.
