Biomarkers of Asbestos Exposure and Disease
ATSDR held an Expert Panel on Biomarkers of Asbestos Exposure and Disease in May, 2006 for 2 days. These are the transcripts and final report from that meeting. It includes both limitations and strengths of various biomarker tests for determining both exposure to asbestos and development of asbestos-related diseases.
The meeting was convened of 9 international experts in asbestos including pathologists, toxicologists, epidemiologists, and a mineralogist. Their discussions are included in these documents.
