On May 31, NCIP held its launch meeting on the NIH campus at Natcher auditorium. Attendees included basic and clinical scientists, informaticists, managers of core facilities, and representatives of the advocacy community. The goals of the meeting were to assess informatics needs in the cancer research community, to identify the best ways to meet these needs, and to ensure that relevant data remains available for sharing as we transition into NCIP. The day-long workshop was videocast and will be made public.
