Mentors

Selecting a mentor is one of the most important tasks a new graduate student must complete.  For a discussion of issues to consider, please read Thoughts on Choosing a Research Mentor.   For practical help in identifying mentors, read on.

The NIH Intramural Research Program (IRP) is comprised of ~1200 tenured and tenure track investigators, many Investigators expressing an interest to train future scientists.  A complete list of the NIH investigators and their research interests may be found by searching the NIH Intramural Annual Reports (NIDB Resources).

In addition to the NIH Intramural Annual Reports, the following series of links provide additional options to find investigators with similar research interests.
