Unique Item Tracking Committee (UITC)
The DLA Logistics Management Standards Office ensures that the DLMS provides full inter-Component unique item tracking (UIT) capability and that implementation conventions require the use of the unique item identifier (UII) for UIT programs. The DLA Logistics Management Standards Office chairs the DoD UITC and staffs changes to the DLMS that are recommended by the UITC. Security, accountability, safety, maintenance, operational readiness, warranty applicability, and other areas that may benefit from the tracking process shall be subsets of the inventory control or engineering analysis functions.
