Distance Learning

In December of 2010 the UDETC began offering distance learning opportunities featuring courses that present best practices and strategies for enforcement of underage drinking laws and efforts to reduce underage drinking.  Funded by an OJJDP grant, these web-based, on-line courses are designed to provide basic information to the participant and serve as a foundation for on-site training provided by the UDETC.  Participants can receive a certificate upon completion of one of these courses.

Courses available:

Continuing Education Units (CEUs):

When the UDETC developed its Distance Learning Curriculum we were not in the position to offer CEUs; however, we do provide a Certificate of Completion for each course and we can support your efforts by providing (directly to you) any materials we have available to assist you in attaining approval. As far as Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) type in-service hours, it is up to the officer’s enforcement agency to apply for those hours; and if needed we can supply course descriptions, curriculum and course hours in support of your application. If Distance Learning users request a Certificate of Completion upon completion of a course and post assessment but do not receive the certificate within 30 days from the request date, please notify the UDETC at udetc@udetc.org for assistance.  We hope this information is useful and we appreciate the work you do in preventing youth access to alcohol.
