About The Mobile Gov Blog

We live in a time when more pre-schoolers can use a smartphone app than can tie their shoes. How does government prepare to meet the information needs of these budding citizens? Mobile Gov means providing information and services to the public anywhere and anytime.

This blog is to help those in agencies working  on mobile services and information for the public. We’ll scour the innerwebs for mobile info so you don’t have to. Expect posts on what government is doing in mobile, general mobile news, trends in mobile use, and issues on implementing mobile for the public.

In September 2012, ForeSee published its first mobile satisfaction index covering the retail industry. This is a scientific benchmark of the mobile user experience and it takes a look at how customers rate their experience with the top retailiers in the United States.

Once we have collected and analyzed sufficient data from our federal government clients, ForeSee is planning to release a mobile satisfaction index covering federal government. This information would be of great interest to your audience. In addition, agencies are now required under the White House’s Digital Strategy to measure the customer experience with web and mobile communications. I am writing to ask GSA to write a blog about the work that ForeSee is doing to measure the mobile experience within the federal government to include a reference to our benchmark indices.

Also, ForeSee and the Federal Consulting Group at the US Department of the Interior are sponsoring a Mobile Forum on November 8, 2012 at the National Press Club. There will be a discussion of the White House Digital Strategy implementation and I would like to see GSA write a blog about this event.
