Subcommittee on Consumer/Survivor

The purpose of the Subcommittee on Consumer/Survivor* Issues is to report to the CMHS National Advisory Council on the specific needs, issues and concerns from consumer perspectives that the Council can consider when developing recommendations and advising the CMHS Director.  The Subcommittee would serve as a fact-finding body for the CMHS National Advisory Council.

The Subcommittee would assist in promoting necessary consumer involvement via a consistent, meaningful dialogue between the National Advisory Council and a body of consumer representatives to provide feedback and guidance on Center activities.  It will not engage in, or recommend, any activities that could be viewed as encouraging "grass-roots" lobbying.  The development of this Subcommittee originates at the request of members of the CMHS National Advisory Council as well as the CMHS Director and numerous consumer organizations.
