Partnerships
As part of its mission EHP seeks to disseminate critical environmental health information as broadly as possible. One way we accomplish this is by working with organizations that share an understanding of how the environment impacts human health. Through these partnerships EHP develops collaborations and networking opportunities and assists in rational decision making by governmental and nongovernmental entities. By working with organizations that have international membership, our outreach activities promote environmental health worldwide.
Another way we accomplish this mission is through partnerships with international journals. These partnerships foster scientific exchange and further the shared scientific goals and missions of each partner through wider dissemination of scientific information to new audiences.
Organizational Partnerships
The International Society for Environmental Epidemiology
With membership open to environmental epidemiologists and other scientists worldwide, the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology provides a variety of forums for discussions, critical reviews, collaborations and education on issues of environmental exposures and their human health effects. The society offers annual meetings, newsletters, workshops, and liaisons with academic, governmental, intergovernmental, nonprofit, and business institutions.
The Encyclopedia of Earth
The Encyclopedia of Earth is a free, fully searchable online collection of nontechnical articles about the Earth, its natural environments, and their interaction with society. Articles are written by scholars, professionals, educators, and other experts who collaborate and review each other’s work.
Journal Partnerships
Journal of Environmental and Occupational Medicine
Journal of Environmental and Occupational Medicine is a bimonthly environmental and occupational health journal published by the Shanghai Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention (SCDC), China. SCDC and EHP have jointly published EHP Chinese Edition since 2004.
Salud Pública de México
Salud Pública de México is a peer-reviewed public health journal published bimonthly by the National Institute of Public Health, Mexico. It is indexed in Current Contents/Social and Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences Citation Index, and other Mexican index services. Salud Pública de México publishes Spanish translations of selected EHP News articles.
Ciencia y Trabajo
Ciencia y Trabajo is a regional Latin American occupational and environmental health journal published by the Fundación Científica y Tecnológica, Asociación Chilena de Seguridad (Chilean Security Association). Each quarterly edition of Ciencia y Trabajo includes Spanish translations of selected EHP News articles. EHP and Ciencia y Trabajo provide reciprocal links on their websites.
Ciência & Saúde Coletiva
Ciência & Saúde Coletiva is a quarterly public health journal published in Brazil by the Associação Brasileira de Pós-Graduação em Saúde Coletiva (Brazilian Association of Public Health) and indexed in MEDLINE. Ciência & Saúde Coletiva translates abstracts of selected EHP Reviews into Portuguese for subsequent republication in print and online. EHP and Ciência & Saúde Coletiva provide reciprocal links on their websites.
Mali Médical
Mali Médical is a quarterly medical journal published in Mali by the Société de Médecine du Mali (Mali Society of Medicine). The partnership between Mali Médical and EHP is a result of the African Journal Partnership Project, a multinational initiative that focuses on journal capacity building in Africa.
Environnement, Risques et Santé
Environnement, Risques et Santé is a cross-disciplinary French journal covering all subjects that involve the environment and health. The journal publishes articles on health issues relevant to climatology, toxicology, epidemiology, biophysics, earth and water sciences, and radiation, from identifying health risks to examining legislation and standards.
