Interdisciplinary Initiatives

The Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) developed and now supports two innovative interdisciplinary initiatives: a mentored career development program and a research program, both focused on women’s health and sex differences research:

Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH)

BIRCWH is a mentored career development program that aims to increase the number of women’s health and sex differences investigators.

Specialized Centers of Research (SCOR) on Sex Differences

SCOR is an interdisciplinary research program focusing on sex differences and major medical conditions affecting women.
