Where to get FAC-PPM training

There are several options to take FAC-P/PM training.  The list below is not exclusive or comprehensive, however it lists vendors that NIH has familiarity with, there are potentially other vendors available.  If you have a vendor in mind but that vendor does not show up on the list below, please send specific inquiry to: FAC-PPM@mail.nih.gov

The NIH Center for Information Technology (CIT) also provides several courses that meet the FAC-PPM requirements. These classes are provided without cost to the user or his institute. Listed below are the steps needed to complete the registration process:

• Go to http://training.cit.nih.gov  
• Click on Course Categories and choose Information Technology.
• The Project Management classes are included here. The names will change depending on the current offerings, but the following:
  • Operational Analysis.
  • Requirements Management
  • Project Leadership, Management, and Communications.

 *  Please note a warning message will often pop-up on the FAI because the sites will request your social security number to validate employment with the federal government as it’s specifically for federal employees only. As long as you’re willing to divulge that information, you should proceed.
