Socioeconomic Status Main Predictor of Health Habits: Study
Race, ethnicity not necessarily behind disparities in weight, exercise and diet
The researchers found that people with a lower socioeconomic status are more likely to be overweight than those with higher socioeconomic status, regardless of racial or ethnic background. Because You Asked: Nutrition and Body Weight
Keeping your weight down is not just for looks. Most Americans are aware of the
importance of maintaining a healthy weight. Yet for many, the focus is on the cosmetic benefits of staying trim. Looking good to ourselves, being attractive to others, and fitting into a stylish wardrobe are among the perceived benefits of keeping our weight down. However, the most important benefit is often overlooked—maintaining an optimal weight can prevent or lessen the symptoms of many health problems, especially as we age.

Mood Tracker Mobile App
T2 Mood Tracker is a mobile application that allows users to self-monitor, track, and reference their emotional experience over a period of days, weeks, and months using a visual analogue rating scale. Users can self-monitor emotional experiences associated with common deployment-related behavioral health issues like post-traumatic stress, brain injury, life stress, depression, and anxiety. Additional ratings can also be added. With each self-rating, notes on environmental influences on emotional experiences can be added. Self-monitoring results can be a self-help tool, or they can be shared with a therapist or health care professional, providing a record of the patient’s emotional experience over a selected time frame.
