Since its inception in July 1992, the mission of the Fires Battle Lab has remained constant. The battle lab's function is to create an institutionalized link between emerging technologies and warfighting ideas for total fire support, joint operations, lethal and non-lethal electronic warfare, and operational maneuver.

Who we are...

The Fort Sill Battle Lab is the primary agency for providing simulation, experimentation and analytical support to the United States Army Fires Center of Excellence. As well, the Battle Lab provides simulation training support to Active, US Army Reserve and National Guard units.

Our mission...

Use live, virtual, constructive and gaming simulations to gain insights, impacts, and recommended changes to DOTMLPF, based on inputs from soldiers and their leaders, as well as emerging technologies and materiel initiatives to support current and future forces.

Our focus...

1. Experimentation. Provide simulations, technical, and subject matter expertise to TRADOC and Joint experimentation efforts.

2. Training. Provide a simulation environment to expand the battle space enabling the School, Active Army, USAR and National Guard Commanders to meet their training objectives.

3. Analysis. Maintain the FireSim XXI model to support Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate analytical objectives.
