Message from Brigadier General Dennis Doyle, Commanding General

Message from Brigadier General Dennis Doyle, Commanding General

The Tripler Army Medical Center earned accolades and awards from the Army Surgeon General on its performance in outpatient and inpatient workload. This increase in workload was over 10% greater than the previous year and in concert with our efforts to increase capacity, more appointments, and improve your health status through healthy lifestyles and compliance with industry standards for health (ie: mammography examinations). The staff fully acknowledges that you, the patient, is at the center of what we do and we are indeed honored to care for you. Additionally, Tripler introduced process improvements and best practices from the industry on ventilator acquired pneumonia cases and improved significantly.

The staff works very hard to serve you and to provide the absolute greatest quality of care. They are indeed compassionate, caring and most competent in the Department of Defense and I am honored to serve side by side with them. We continue to look forward to serving you. Remember, call us to cancel or change an appointment. Ask my staff about health measures and if you are compliant or not (mammography, colorectal screening, diabetes, asthma, cervical screening). And if you are hurting emotionally or mentally, ask your primary care provider for help--they can. Lastly, remember to fill out the online or mail in Army Provider Level Patient Satisfaction Survey. It is quick, 21 questions--tell us how we are doing. We'd love to hear from you. Mahalo. One Team.

Dr. Nemmers did an excellent job. I didn't experience any pain during or after surgery. Surprisingly it was a pleasant experience."

"I appreciate Dr. Noon’s explanation to the importance of these routine visits. She was very thorough asking all kinds of questions and recommended courses of action. She has wonderful “bedside” manners. This comes from a person who doesn’t like to go to doctors."
