KSC HISTORYThe Korean Service Corps (KSC) was founded on 26 July 1950 under Presidential Emergency Decree of Syngman Rhee, leader of the Republic of Korea (ROK), in response to an urgent request for manpower by General Walton Walker, Commanding General, Eighth United States Army (CG, Eighth U. S. Army). The Civilian Transportation Corps (CTC), as the KSC was originally known, consisted of civilians who were drafted under the Emergency Mobilization Order of the ROK President. Read more

PROCEDURES OF HIRINGAnyone interested in applying for a job in Korean Service Corps (KSC) Battalion must be first registered in Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL), ROK by visiting the Local Employment Stability Agency and filling out Job Application Form or logging in the Worknet (http://www.work.go.kr) operated by the Korea Employment Information Service under the MOEL, ROK to get "a registration number" which has to be renewed in every three month.
