What if my name or date of birth is incorrect on my Social Security account?
You may correct your name or date of birth by completing an Application for a Social Security Card, and returning the completed application to your local Social Security office. If you have questions, please call us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) between 7 a.m and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
