| How do I create a report in SDI?|
Create a report in SDI by selecting "Create or Modify Reports" from the top menu.
Custom peer groups are user-defined groups of FDIC-insured institutions or bank holding companies*. The user makes the decision of which banking entities to include in the custom peer group. SDI will then generate financial reports that calculate the financial information reported by the individual members of the peer group. These financial reports will display the peer group information in aggregate. Custom peer groups can consist of: a) the criteria used to create the peer group (unlimited membership), or b) individual institutions or bank holding companies up to up to a limit of 50 members.
*Financial data for bank holding companies represent combined amounts for all FDIC-insured bank and thrift subsidiaries, and do not reflect nondeposit subsidiaries or parent companies. Account balances have not been adjusted for intra-company transactions. Additional holding company information can be found at the website for the Federal Reserve System--National Information Center (NIC).

I want to analyze data from SDI in a different software package. Can I download data from SDI?
If so, how do I do it?
Yes. After you create a custom peer group, you can save the group to the FDIC’s Web Server and as a "cookie" on the computer and within the Internet browser that you are using. To save a custom peer group, press the "Save" button for custom peer groups either after you successfully created the group or later in the user session by selecting "Peer Groups" from the menu. After you press "Save" using either method, you will be prompted to select and name any custom peer groups that have been created and to enter your e-mail address should you choose to save the peer group on the FDIC’s Web Server. Select "Save Peer Group(s)" to complete the save process.
To retrieve previously saved custom peer groups, select "Peer Groups" from the top menu. The system will default to the “Retrieve Peer Groups” screen. Enter your email address and press “Lookup” to locate any previously saved peer groups on the FDIC’s Web Server. (Note: Since SDI also makes use of “cookies”, all custom peer groups previously saved on the computer and to the Internet browser that you are using will automatically be listed. Select the custom peer group(s) by choosing the column you want to retrieve it to for analysis and pressing the "Retrieve Peer Group(s)" button. Validate the members of the peer group by pressing "Confirm Retrieval". Press "Next" to continue processing.
