Accommodations for Applicants with a Disability

OCC may provide reasonable accommodations for a qualified applicant on the basis of a disability. You can request reasonable accommodations orally or in writing. If you make an oral request, follow up and confirm by completing the Request for Reasonable Accommodations Form. You can submit your request at any time during the application and hiring process to any of the following as appropriate:

  • The Human Resources Specialist identified on the vacancy announcement.
  • The National Accommodations Coordinator
  • Any OCC employee with whom you officially come in contact during the application or selection process.

You may designate another person to communicate an accommodation request on your behalf. For disabilities that are not obvious or otherwise apparent, reasonable medical documentation may be required, such as a statement signed by a medical professional or disability certifying agency.

OCC considers requests for reasonable accommodations on a case-by-case basis in the shortest time frame practicable. The agency is not required to provide the specific accommodation you identify, but will make every effort to provide the most effective accommodation to enable you apply for a job or perform essential job functions if hired.
