Project leaders from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) sought the advice and guidance from some of the world’s leading experts in cancer genomics, bioinformatics, microarray technologies and bioethics, as well as from members of the patient advocacy community while developing TCGA.
