Evaluation: Measuring What Works

Evaluation is an important tool to help determine whether programs are operating efficiently and achieving their goals. Some NIGMS research and training grant mechanisms include an evaluation component, and this Web site provides information about program evaluation that grantees might find useful. In addition to offering tips on planning and conducting evaluations, the site has links to “how-to” guides, tools and other sources of information.
