Cohort Consortium Strategic Plan

  1. Emphasize our core strengths: prospective data, large sample size, some repositories
    1. Focus on cancers, especially less common and more lethal ones
    2. Focus on genetic variants, questionnaire variables, and biospecimens that address critical unresolved issues
    3. Evaluate subgroups
  2. Avoid duplicating what can be done elsewhere
    1. Communicate with other consortia tackling related problems
  3. Improve the ease and speed of the projects we support
    1. Develop simple flexible tools for intra-project communications
    2. Facilitate the participation of willing cohorts
    3. Develop simple tools for data harmonization and collection
