United States Department of Veterans Affairs

About the Direct Connect Program

Direct Connect Program LogoThe Direct Connect Program (DCP) team will assist Small Businesses to access business opportunities within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  One of the most important tools available is the VA’s Opportunity Showcases.  Opportunity Showcases provide industry-specific Small Businesses the ability to market their products and services, face to face, with a Program Decision Makers (PDMs).

The DCP team can assist in promoting engagement with VA PDMs and Small Businesses in order to develop valuable communication that focuses on increasing Small Business access and opportunities within VA.  The DCP team serves a vital role in connecting Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses(SDVOSBs) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) to the appropriate contacts and/or resources in order to continue to focus their capabilities on their efforts of doing business with VA, as well as other Federal agencies.

The DCP team will enable stakeholders to connect and engage with the Small Businesses presence and provide valuable information for future requirements.  The team will also focus on building and sustaining quality relationships in the Small Business Community.  The Direct Connect Program will provide value with education, training and outreach efforts.  Direct Small Businesses to marketing preparation and provide information to our support organization’s subject matter experts for training, counseling, and guidance.

The DCP team will assist Small Business to better understand the process on how to do business with VA through information which is provided on the OSDBU website, Small Business Outreach Sessions, and details on Conference events.

The DCP team will keep the Small Business Community updated on events, changes, and new initiatives, in their efforts to do business with VA.  If you are interested and need further information on the Direct Connect Program, please send emails to directconnect@va.gov or contact Lorenzo Hobbs at (202) 461-4448.
