NCI Initiatives

caBIG^® provides the advanced informatics support for several key National Cancer Institute initiatives. The scalability, standardized exchange formats, and common software tools of caBIG^® make it easier for NCI initiatives to quickly ramp up and make progress toward their goals. Going forward, caBIG^® may serve as a key technology platform to facilitate a wide variety of medical initiatives outside the cancer community as well.
