As a member of the Infectious Diseases Group this candidate will evaluate the ability of antibodies to attenuate viral disease. Specifically the candidate will evaluate monoclonal antibodies in both in vitro and in vivo models of viral infection. The candidate will be proficient in the evaluation of viral propagation by various methods, as well as, evaluate the humoral and cellular immunological responses to viral infection.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Propagate viruses in cell culture and evaluate their growth characteristics in vitro and in vivo.
· Evaluate the susceptibility of viruses, including clinical isolates, to lead monoclonal antibodies.
· Evaluate immunological responses to viral infection by various means such as multi-color flow cytometry, ELIspot, MSD, and ELISA.
· In collaboration with project teams, identify and rank potential candidate drugs
· Experience in molecular biology and production of recombinant viruses a plus.
· Work regularly in the lab with other scientists in the group.

Experience in viral propagation and growth evaluation both in vivo and in vitro.
Knowledge of various platforms to evaluate immunological responses to viral infection such as multi-color flow cytometry, ELIspot, MSD and ELISA.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in teams, both departmental and cross-functional.
